Unit 4, Module 1: Controlling Alignment within the Cell Tag
Module 1 Overview
There is only one lesson to this module. Students construct a simple table and learn a trick for formatting tables with rounded corners. The purpose being to learn how to control the alignment of content, in this case images, within the cell tag.
Module 1: List of Lessons
- Lesson 1: Controlling Alignment within the Cell Tag (Lesson length 60 minutes)
- Description: This lesson gives students practice aligning content inside a table cell. Students make a simple table for displaying information that has rounded corners.
- Learner Outcome: The student will be able to-
- control the horizontal alignment within the table cell tag.
- control the vertical alignment within the table cell tag.
- Activities:
- On the whiteboard show students that within one table data cell they
have three values for horizontal alignment (left, center, right) and three
values for vertical alignment (top, middle, bottom). In other words, there
are nine possibilities to position data within a cell tag.
- Have students do Lesson 1: Controlling Alignment within the Cell Tag.
