What is a videoconference?

Your students can see and talk to others in distant places in real-time. Mobile equipment brings videoconference into your classroom, using electronic tools:

  • Camera and sound box
  • Projector and screen or TV monitor
  • Microphone
  • Internet connection

Videoconference Opportunities

Free Events -
Our state K20 Network provides unlimited connection in Washington, and there are many U.S. Government possibilities.

Content Providers - In the United States and all over the world, many museums and historical sites provide videoconference content, at costs ranging from $50 to $200 per session. Aim a class or PTA fund raiser at one of these great opportunities.

Collaborations - Read other teachers' project proposals and requests for partners. Join one of them, use their ideas as a springboard for yours, or request partners for your own project. New requests are added to this list frequently.

Searchable Lists - These lists allow you to search by subject, topic, cost, etc., and frequently there is a rating system so you can see which opportunities get the highest praise.
