District Technology Plan and Standards
The District's Technology Plan provides a vision and belief statements which guide learning and teaching toward the Technology Standards for All Students.

The School Expectations list identifies expected annual activities by grade level areas. Each of the School Strategic Plans list the school's goals for technology use. Yearly Technology Assessments guide planning for student improvement of technology use.

Technology Policies and Procedures
Policies and procedures govern district technology use by all employees and students. The District also provides support in Rules for School Web Sites and District Copyright and Web Publishing.

Technology and Learning
Technology is integrated into the classroom though daily planned activities, or the Online Research Projects. At the high school level, several courses have been created to help students be effective users of technology. Tech Connections is offered to all high school freshmen and the Web Design Class offers tech prep experience for students. Biography Maker   is an online resource developed to support curriculum.

Technology Courses are offered for professional improvement and are listed on the Technology Workshops page and in the Professional Development Catalog.

Technology Support

Technology support services are part of two Central Services, Instructional Technology & Libraries, and Computer & Network Services. Teachers can submit work orders directly through the intranet Help Desk.

Role of Teacher-Librarians

The teacher-librarian in each building provides student instruction and collaborates with classroom teachers to improve student technology & information literacy skills. Teacher-librarians in each building are the technology coordinators and web editors for their schools, in addition to providing traditional library services. Students and teachers needing help with computers are welcome to contact their teacher-librarian for help in their school.
