| District Technology Plan and Standards
The District's Technology Plan provides a vision and belief statements which guide learning and teaching to support the Technology Grade Level Expectations. The links in this section assist in planning and developing a 21st Century learning environment for our students. Students and staff in the Bellingham Schools use computer technologies to communicate, access and use information well, construct learning, and solve problems.
The Curriculum Department oversees the integration of technology into the instructional program. Technology Courses are offered for professional improvement and are available online or by request. Please visit the Technology Tiers links to find more information on our professional development program which is based upon OSPI’s Tiers of Technology Integration Indicators. The District Supported Tech Purchases and the Projector Mounting pages list the equipment identified and processes needed to enhance the 21st century classroom.
Other Technology Resources include Tech Connections, the course for all 9th grade students, and Online Research Projects which use the research cycle of information literacy. Video Conference is a growing technology in our district with the addition of our mobile video conference unit.
Technology is integrated into the classroom though daily planned activities and is supported with links in this section, including content support such as science and math links, and at the high school level, Tech Connections and the Web Design Class offer tech prep experience for students. Biography Maker is another online resource developed to support curriculum.

The Technology Policies & Prodecures site guides student and staff use of technology. The District also provides support in Rules for School Web Sites and Teaching with Videos.

Support
Technology Support services are part of two Central Services, Curriculum for instructional support and Computer & Network Services for technical support. Teachers work with the building Library Media Specialists to submit work orders directly through the intranet Help Desk.
