Description:
The Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) is a federal law enacted by Congress in December, 2000, to address concerns about student access to offensive content over the Internet and inappropriate use of school computers. Schools are required to adopt and enforce a policy to monitor online activities of students and educational staff will, to the best of their ability, monitor student use of the Internet and email in school.
