Description:

NovaNET is an online comprehensive courseware system that delivers thousands of hours of standards-based, interactive curriculum, integrated assessment and student management and record keeping. It is currently available to all Middle and High Schools. This two-session course will enable teachers to use NovaNet lessons to assist students meet basic skill standards, improve concentration and study habits, or extend enrichment learning opportunities. NovaNET is available 24 hours a day at school and at home, and offers thousands of hours of instruction in more than 100 subject areas. Participants will build upon the following powerful teaching and learning strategies:

Teachers provide a classroom environment that actively engages all students in learning
Teachers differentiate by using a variety of instructional strategies based on the assessed strengths, needs and interests of their student

Objectives:
Participants will be able to:

Log-in at home/at school
Create Sections/Class Rosters
Make assignments/Check grades
Modify assignments/Print reports
Communicate with students/teachers/paraeducators/NovaNet support personnel
