Standards of Mailability

Standards are flexible. With computers, there are many ways to accomplish the same task. Unless a specific style is requested, many different styles are acceptable for letters, memorandums, or reports. What is most important: is the document attractively placed on the page? For example, if a letter is long but can be placed on one page by reducing the number of space lines between the date and the inside address, then use just one page. This will look better than having a single line and the closing on the second page. However, squeezing the text into 9-point font with half-inch margins would not be acceptable in most business situations.
