Open your existing presentation (LastnamePractice.ppt).
Select Insert> New Slide. Select the Bulleted list layout. Click OK.
- Click in the Title box and type Favorite Places.
- Click in the lower text box and list five of your favorite places--either near or far.
Insert an AutoShape
-
Select Insert> Picture—AutoShapes.
-
Click the Basic Shape button containing the heart, and select
the Smiley Face.
-
Click the point where you want to insert the smiley face and drag to
adjust the size. Reposition if necessary by holding the left mouse button
down over the object and dragging.
Animate the AutoShape
-
From the Slide-Show pull-down on the menu bar, select
Custom Animation.
-
Click on the Timing tab and select the smiley face.
-
Click the Effects tab and choose Swivel under Entry
animation. Select a sound.
- Make
sure Don’t Dim is selected in the After animation
text box. Click OK.
- Using
the Slide Show pull-down on the menu bar, experiment with the Action
Buttons, Preset Animation, Custom Animation, Animation Preview, and
Slide Transition.
-
Include at least one occurrence of each function in your presentation.
You may need to add slides.
Add a Hyperlink
-
Link one page to a web page on the Internet by inserting a hypertext
link. To do this, open Internet Explorer and find
the page you would like to link to. Copy the address (located in the
box above the web page).
-
Return to PowerPoint and select an image or text to convert
to a link. Select Insert> Hyperlink from the main
toolbar. Paste in the address for the web page you want to link to.
-
You may have discovered that hyperlinks can also be created
in the Action Button command. With this option, you do not
have to select an object to convert into a link, but rather you create
a button as you create the link. If you did not already do so, create
an action button that links to a web page.
-
Save your file.
