before you begin the brochure unit. Suggested
sources: local businesses, the local Visitors and Convention Bureau, product guides,
possibly even junk mail advertisements--any source of double sided, tri-fold brochures.
These brochures will be necessary in order to perform the initial evaluation segment.
Make copies of theSample Brochure which can be
handed out to students as a model and review of guidelines.
Prepare your classroom printer
: Students will need to print page 1 of their brochure
and then insert that page back into the printer to print page 2 on the other side. If
possible, post a diagram of your printer's paper tray and the way the 1st side will
need to be placed there to print the second side. Students will need to take turns sending
their pages to the printer so they don't mix up their brochures.
