Discover Yourself: establish portfolio, complete self-assessment inventories and connect interests to a career pathway

Unit 2

Explore Your Options: explore pathways and research careers
Unit 3 Prepare a Plan: explore post-high school options & develop Personal Education Plan
Unit 4

Job Acquisition Skills:

4.1 learn job search strategies
4.2 complete an application
4.3 complete resume
4.4 complete cover letter
4.5 learn interview techniques & follow-up procedures

Unit 5 Presentation: complete culminating presentation summarizing your personal results from self-assessment, exploration, preparation, and job acquisition skills.

Career and Educational Planning Key Competencies

Technology Connections is a semester-long course designed to equip all 9th grade students with organizational skills and technology tools needed to accomplish high level learning goals. The course works in conjunction with other required freshman classes (i.e., English, Science, etc.). Elements of school and career planning will be incorporated.
