1. Synthesizing GENERAL Information
Think about the best choice using the information you gathered.

Meet with your group in a place (away from the computers) where you can discuss the information you have gathered.

  • Review the essential question and the task
  • Discuss the information you gathered as it relates to the question and the task
  • Answer your essential question in your research packet

Given the responsibility to plan a 30 minute Veteran’s Day Assembly for your school, what would be most important to share?

What will you include in the assembly? What will be the focus of your PowerPoint presentation?

Why did you make the choices you made?

Now you will return to Gathering to gather information on the specific topic for your PowerPoint.

2. Synthesizing SPECIFIC Information

Meet with your group in a place (away from the computers) where you can discuss the information you have gathered.

What have you learned about the topic you will focus on in your PowerPoint presentation? How will you organize this information and present it to your audience? Create a plan or outline that will help you as you create your PowerPoint.

When this is ready, you will head back to the computers. You are ready for reporting.
