Module Four - Synthesis

It's time to stop and "take inventory" of the information you have gathered on your three potential building sites. You have been collecting information on your Notes Sheet. Now it is time to divide that information into three separate files - one for each site - according to the questions you have been researching.

Revisit the questions you brainstormed as a group and we decided upon as a class.

Create a new file for Mt. Rainier

Copy all of the information you have saved pertaining to Mt. Rainier's Type of blast, History of seismic activity, Likelihood of an eruption in the forseeable future, or other Related hazards such as landslides and toxic gases, and

Paste it into the new file under each heading.

Create a separate file for Mt. Baker, and Kilauea and transfer the relevant information into each.

If you have information that is not directly related to your working questions, put it under a Miscellaneous section of each file.

Have you found sufficient information to answer all the questions for each site, or do you need more information? Are there some "holes" to fill? Make a note of any questions you have not been able to answer so you can focus your search when you move out on the internet in the next module.
