Bellingham Schools Research Investigation

9th Grade

Project Scenario

A company called International Event Specialists has come to Bellingham due to the success of the Ski to Sea Race. This company wants to host a race similar to Bellingham’s Ski to Sea Race in a location outside of the United States.

Needing much input, the company has selected you, a team of student representatives, to serve on the Site Selection Committee.

Your task is to find the best location to host the race with the same legs as Bellingham’s famous Ski to Sea Race. Some changes may need to be made due to the geography and resources of the region.

Your team of researchers will make a persuasive PowerPoint presentation, supported by maps and research data, in order to convince the CEO’s of International Event Specialists to approve your selected location. Next
