What Makes a Good Place to Live?

What are the interrelationships among political systems, cultures, environments, and economies?

Sorting and Sifting Information
Organize and select information that contributes to your understanding.

You have gathered information and investigated a country that really interests you. It’s time to sort through all of this information and share your answers with your team.

  • Check off all questions from the Mind Map that you have answered sufficiently. Do you have data and numbers to support your questions?
  • Highlight the questions that have an answer which is favorable to the country.
  • The team will enter their questions and Mind Map locations on the Choosing Your Country Matrix.
    • Work as a team to share jobs
    • Enter your individual country in the sections at the top of the matrix.
    • Enter answers for your country in the correct column
    • Attempt to persuade your team members that the fact listed for your country makes it the most favorable. Do this for each question, and vote among you to decide upon the winning country for each of the 12 questions.
    • The country receiving the most wins becomes the team's Best Place To Live. A country must receive a minimum of 5 wins to be selected.
