Sorting and Sifting Information
Organize and select information that contributes to your understanding
You have gathered information to answer your questions and have investigated several possible effects of chemicals on your part of the system. It’s time to sort through all of this information.
- Have you found sufficient details about the structure and function of your part of the system?
- Do you have enough information about possible diseases affecting this system?
- Do you have any new questions you discovered when doing your research?
- What medical specialties deal with this body system?
- What advancements are being made in this field?
- Did you discover any new technologies?
- Can you throw away material that is not useful?
Be sure to review the outlines, project rubrics, and criteria sheet, to be sure you have all the information you need.
Determine what additional information is needed for the best possible presentation to the audience. Remember to write it in your own words and translate the anatomical words into language that non-medical people (for example, 8th graders) will understand.
Conference with your teacher who may have additional remarks and comments to help you.
