What do you need to know to solve the problem or make the decision?

What do you need to know to solve the problem or make the decision?

Keep in mind the overarching question for this investigation: How has the geography of Washington State influenced its history, economics, political interactions and diverse cultures?

In this project, you will be answering a more specific question: Which regions of Washington will your family and friend visit on your summer vacation?

Before we attempt to answer this question, we have some smaller questions that we need to address.

Historical Sites and Museums:

What museums are in the area?

Are there sites of importance to the history of Washington in this region?

Cultural Groups:

What cultural groups live in this area?

Are there tribal lands within this region?

What are the factors that support groups of differing cultures in the region?

Boating and Water Sports:

Where can you find lakes or rivers that would allow boating and water sports in the region?

Are there camping and picnicking areas nearby?

Baseball Teams:

Are there major or minor league ball teams in the area?

Hiking and Camping:

What are some good campgrounds and hiking trails?
