Sorting and Sifting Information
Organize and select information that contributes to your understanding.

You have gathered information to answer your questions.  It’s time to sort through all of this information.

Ask the following questions while looking at your graphic organizer, Questions for Researchers.

  • Have you found sufficient details to answer all your questions?  Do you have enough information?  Do you need more information?
  • Do you need to develop new questions to adequately cover your topic?
  • Can you throw away information or material that is not useful or does not answer your questions?
