Teacher Tips for This Project

The following are possible suggestions to ensure that the research module runs smoothly.

  • This research module will take approximately 1-2 weeks.  Plan on spending at least 1-2 weeks in the computer lab gathering, sifting, sorting information and creating the PowerPoint presentation.
  • Students should complete this project in groups of 2-4.
  • It is highly recommended to have a cart of books and/or encyclopedias, which support the research.
  • Study and use the tools found in Citing Sources for Writing & Research. You will find great teacher information, models and even online forms for students to use to create citations.
  • Have a plan for saving documents during the project. You may wish to create a folder on a shared drive so that students may access the files easily.
