Sorting and Sifting Information
Organize and select information that contributes to your understanding.

Now you are ready to sort, sift, and analyze your facts.

  • Have you found sufficient details to answer all your questions?
  • Do you have information on each element of civilization?
  • Do you have enough information on which to base a decision?
  • Do you need to develop new questions to adequately cover your topic?
  • Can you throw away material that is not useful or does not answer your questions?

Evaluate the data that you have, and go back and do any necessary research to fill in where you need more answers, facts, or support.
