6th Grade Research Investigation Module

The world has recently been bombarded with images of Baghdad’s palaces, museums and rich artifacts.  Your classmates will work to uncover some of the history of this region formerly known as the “Cradle of Civilization” or Mesopotamia.

It was here that the first cities grew into a thriving civilization.  For three thousand years Mesopotamia flourished and prospered.  This thriving and complex civilization developed beyond the scope of other civilizations at that time lasting for many years until it began to lose its power and decline.
