Questioning
What do you need to know to solve the problem or make the decision?

Think about life in a civilization that has none of the modern tools and comforts that you enjoy.  No phone, TV, or video games.  Your time will be spent in activities that help you survive, rather that in school or play.

With your team, discuss the answers to the questions below. These questions can help you to understand and investigate this topic.

  • What do you already know about Aztecs and how they lived?
  • What do you already know about the Mayans, Anasazi and Hopewell Mound Builders?
  • What do you already know life in the ancient world?
  • What do you need to know about each civilization that will help you choose the best one in which to live?

When you have completed your questions, keep your answers in mind as you go on to planning.
