Creating Your Poster in Publisher

Open the Publisher template and use it to create your Vacation Washington poster.

You will want to import pictures from the Internet for your poster. When you find a good picture from one of the Internet sites that you want to add to your poster, follow these directions:

In Publisher, select or highlight the box on your poster where you want the picture to appear.
(Do this by clicking once on the box)
On the web page, click on the picture with the RIGHT button on your mouse. A menu will appear. Select Copy from this menu.
Go back to your Publisher poster and paste the picture in by clicking on the box where you want the picture to appear with your RIGHT mouse button. Then select Paste.
You can then shrink and move the picture. To shrink the picture, you will need to place your cursor on the corner of the image (you will see a diagonal arrow and the word "RESIZE") then click and drag with your left mouse button. To move the picture, click and drag on the center of the picture.

You will also need to give credit to the website where you got the picture. To do that:

On the web page, RIGHT click once on the address (or URL) at the top of the page
Select Copy from the menu that pops up.
Go back to the Publisher poster and find the box at the bottom of the page where it says: Photo Credit. RIGHT click in this box and a pop-up menu will appear. Select Paste to add your URL to this box.
