Synthesizing
Think about the best choice using the information you gathered.

Think about your guiding question:

How can we plan ahead to protect life and property if Mt. Baker erupts?

You have learned about the hazards of volcanoes, you have decided which hazard is most likely to affect Bellingham. Now it is time to be creative and develop a safety plan. Get a sheet of paper or open a blank Word document where you can record the following:

  1. Brainstorm the possibilities! Be creative! You can use technologies that already exist to minimize the damage caused by your hazard, or you may invent something completely new.
  2. Decide on your best idea. This will become an important part of your safety plan.

Go to your teacher with evidence that you have completed steps above.
