Steps for this Project

You will follow the Research Cycle as you work through this project. The steps are:

Questioning
Guiding question: "How does the environment control how animals live?"
Focus in on smaller questions to guide your planning and your research.  

Planning
Get your notes sheet.  Divide the tasks among your team members.

Gathering
Visit selected web sites to gather information.

Sorting and Sifting
Now it is time to arrange and rearrange the information to focus on what is important to your project.

Synthesizing
Look at your notes sheet. What decisions can you make, using the information you gathered?  What information do you still need to find?

Gather, Sort, Sift, Synthesize
Repeat these steps until you have all the information you need.

Evaluating
Do the facts support your decision? How well did you work as a team?

Reporting
Use PowerPoint to present your decision to the class.
