Budget Savings Plan Community Meetings

Superintendent Kenneth Vedra will share draft Budget Savings Plan recommendation at these public meetings and will explain differences from the District Budget Advisory Committee’s (DBAC) recommendation. The format for these meetings will consist of Dr. Vedra’s presentation, followed by an opportunity to submit written input to the Superintendent. The reason that these one-hour meetings will be structured for written rather than verbal input is because the district wants to ensure an accurate transmission of information conveyed by stakeholders and that everyone has an equal opportunity to have his or her viewpoint considered prior to the next steps in the process. This written input will be compiled, along with input submitted through the Web site, and will be reviewed daily by the Superintendent, as he works with district leaders to finalize the Budget Savings Plan that will be presented to the School Board.
