The classes listed at right can be challenged and waived by students
if they meet the criteria stipulated for each course.
Each fall, 9th grade students who wish to demonstrate their technology
skills and challenge the Technology
Connections class are provided an opportunity to
do so. Students who complete the “Challenge” successfully will have the Tech Connections
requirement waived and may sign up for more advanced technology-based classes.
The Health Course can be challenged by completion of specific performance tasks and a successful
score on the Comprehensive Health Written Examination. Students who review the Health Course modules
and tasks, and believe they have already mastered all of the competencies, are invited to participate
in this waiver process.
