Food Service Applicants

GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Prepare condiment trays and service lines.
  • Stock and sell food and snack items as requested.
  • Serve food and follow portion control.
  • Cashier, collect, and count cash and stock vending machines as requested.
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation.
  • Perform food storage and clean-up in a team setting.
  • Hourly Rate: $8.75 per hour.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Knowledge of basic food handling techniques, safety work practices, and ability to use basic kitchen tools and equipment desirable.
  • Experience in either public or commercial food service trades desirable.
  • Ability to lift and move cases weighing 20-49 pounds above shoulder level and below the waist.
  • Ability to stand for up to sixty (60) minutes without a break.
  • Ability to run a cash register and adding machine and to balance cash desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate through the written and spoken word.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills to relate to students of all ages.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
