Reading and Literacy Support Teacher(s)
Full- and/or part-time continuing and full- and/or part-time non-continuing leave replacement positions for the 2008-09 school year. Candidates who apply at this time will be considered for additional reading and literacy support teaching positions that may occur during the 2008-09 school year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: |
- Valid Washington State teaching certificate with preferred endorsement in reading or K-8 Elementary education.
- Experience in intensive reading programs such as Title I, LAP, Reading Recovery, or other reading program(s) preferred.
- Three (3) years of successful literacy teaching experience in grades 1-3 preferred.
- Strong background in academic preparation and experience in reading/literacy instructional strategies at the elementary level.
- Evidence of flexibility and problem solving skills.
- Evidence of strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge.
- Willingness and ability to implement the designed federal or special program.
- Ability to analyze your own instructional practices through regular and ongoing observations and dialogues associated with peer mentoring and coaching.
- Knowledge and experience using technology in the delivery of curriculum and instruction.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

- Demonstrated ability to work with families and to clearly articulate school programs and State of Washington Essential Academic Learning Requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to decision-making in collaboration with administrators,
other staff members, and the parent community.
- Knowledge of and ability to assess, design and deliver effective instruction for diverse learners including English Language Learners [ELL].
