ELEMENTARY SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Currently, one part-time provisional position exists for the 2008-09 school year. Candidates who apply at this time will be considered for additional elementary support specialist positions which may occur during the 2008-09 school year.
The person in this position will work effectively with students, teachers, administrators, parents, and as necessary, community agencies to support the academic, social/emotional, and behavioral needs of all elementary school students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: |
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in appropriate related field.
- Washington State certification as an Educational Staff Associate (ESA) in school counseling, school psychologist, or social worker.
- Teaching certification with teaching/school experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with elementary school students.
- Successful experience designing, implementing, evaluating, and coordinating academic and behavioral plans and programs for elementary students.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
