The graphic shows how the visionary goals, target objectives, and annual priorities of the Bellingham School District are integrated into District strategic planning.

The outer circle shows how the seven visionary goals of Pathway for the 21st Century encompass the ongoing work of the District.

The inner triangle represents the focus of the work. Within the triangle there are several components.

The apex represents the main purpose of the District’s work – Student Achievement.

The three smaller triangles in the center represent the District’s target objectives to achieve student learning – Personalization, Literacy, and Collaboration.

The four sections in the third level represent the District’s priorities for the 2002-03 school year, which support achievement of the target objectives.

The four priorities are

1) Implementation of School Strategic Plans;
2) Two-Way Communication and Organizational Alignment;
3) Capacity for Leading and Learning; and
4) Community Partnerships.

The solid base upon which the triangle rests represents How the Work Will Be Accomplished.
