Our
Community
Bellingham
residents recognize the value of an excellent education. They have
regularly supported school levies and bonds. The community has a
30-year history of approving maintenance and operations levies.
Since 1990, the community has passed bond issues for school construction,
renovation, and classroom technology. Many avenues for community
and parent participation are available. Broad-based participation
is encouraged. Many parents and community members serve as volunteers
in the schools and help in instructional and clerical tasks. School
site councils provide opportunities for involvement in decision-making
at the school level. Citizens serve on committees to study special
district needs and to provide suggestions and make recommendations
to the school administration.
