DEVELOPING A SCHOOL PROFILE

The school profile is based on data already collected. The school profile serves as a "before" picture of the school as the process of change unfolds. This profile should examine how well the school is functioning; how well it addresses intended outcomes for student achievement in literacy, personalized instruction, and parent communication; and specific areas needing improvement.

Developing the school profile is a critically important opportunity to pause and reflect on what you and the Leadership Team have accomplished up to this point. Describe the school as it exists and summarize the identified needs that will be addressed in your Strategic Plan. (Refer to the following examples in the book Data Analysis i.e., elementary profiles pages 31-34 and pages 44-51 and middle/high school profiles pages 35-38, and pages 52-59.)
