Operation School Bell® is a philanthropic project of The Assistance League® of Bellingham, providing new clothing to elementary school children (K-5th) who qualify financially.
This program operates on Saturdays and a few Sundays, September thru
February, from the Assistance League® of Bellingham’s Thrift and Gift Shop at 1415 Cornwall
Avenue in downtown Bellingham.
The Readiness to Learn Program in Student Services provides district coordination.
New clothing provided to each elementary age child (K-5th) includes:
- 1 winter coat
- 1 hat
- 1 pair of gloves
- 1 hooded sweatshirt
- 2 pairs of jeans
- 2 tee-shirts
- 6 pairs of socks
- 6 pairs of underwear
- 1 toiletry kit
- 1 shoe voucher for $20 to Payless Shoe Store–Bellis Fair Mall store only
Program registration forms are available upon request from Patty Hoff (676-6524) or Roxana Parise (676-6523)
in Student Services. Forms are numbered individually and are not to be copied.
Please complete one form for each eligible
elementary age student and return to your school secretary or mail directly to:

When your completed form is returned you will receive a bright green appointment card in the mail, with your child's registration number and scheduled appointment time. Please bring this card with you to your appointment.
The Assistance League® of Bellingham is located at 1415 Cornwall Avenue in downtown Bellingham.
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to keep their appointment time and to transport their child to The Assistance League® Thrift and Gift Shop.
