Topic:  Expenditures Year to Date     

Topic:  Silver Beach Resource request for one copy of CoWriter

Topic:  NW Symposium for Augmentative-Alternative Communication Aids, Devices and System February 2006

Summary:  Information given to committee members and has already been sent to staff via email

Topic:  SLP needed for AT Committee         

Next Steps:  Pat will check with SLPs to see who will be their representative

Topic:  BHS Dragon Naturally Speaking assessment of BHS student

Summary:  John Glenn worked with student.  She knows how to use the program with 90% or better accuracy, but needs to speak in her natural voice.   She doesn’t have much use for DNS at this time except for her health class.  

Next Steps:  John will assess 2nd BHS student on DNS.

Topic:  IEE request from CWU AT Center

Next Steps:  Pat & Sue are working with school staff and parents to create the 20 minute video needed to submit to CWU

Summary:  Colligo representatives would like to demonstrate their latest equipment to AT Committee

Next Steps:  Pat will set up a time to personally try out Colligo’s equipment and make recommendation to next AT meeting

Topic:  Classroom FM Systems

Summary:  Classroom systems benefit all students in the class.  This is especially important for undiagnosed young children with hearing loss.

Next Steps:  Darcy will volunteer to join the design committees for new elementary schools to promote school-wide classroom fm systems

Topic:  Introduction of Assistive Technology Class, Instructor – Linda Schleef.  3/1/06 8:30 – 3:30 – Shuksan Computer Lab

Next Steps:  John will borrow school district video camera to document student’s work on Pac Mate.
