The School Information and Communications Office provides
access to information to a variety of District constituents,
including employees, families, news media and community
members.
The School Information and Communication staff prepare,
update and distribute publications, news releases, and
the District's Web site to communicate accurate and
timely information about school and district policies,
programs, procedures, achievements, decisions and critical
issues.
The
office is responsible for reporting emergency schedules
during bad weather, supporting schools and departments
with communication needs, and responding to inquiries
from the news media and the public. Staff members assist
in maintaining an open two-way communication system
between the District and the public by offering various
opportunities to share ideas, suggestions, information
and reactions. During school elections, the School Information
Office provides information about levy and bond proposals.
The
School Information and Communications Office also works closely
with the District Print Shop to facilitate printing requests, create
and distribute District forms, and supervise outgoing mail from
the administration building.
