Annual Expectations of Collection Maintenance
ASSESS:
Evaluate the collection during the year with student and staff involvement.
Perform an annual inventory and maintain inventory records within Destiny.
ACQUIRE:
Submit library material orders to the Instructional Technology and Libraries Secretary.
Confirm materials are added to the Destiny database.
MAXIMIZE ACCESS:
Ensure that users in my building have access to information resources in the library, the classroom, and from home.
MAINTAIN:
Send books for rebinding and/or supervise repairs on site.
Discard library materials according to established criteria and district procedures.
Submit supply orders from Instructional Technology and Libraries budget or building budget.
ANNUAL REPORT:
Submit to Instructional Technology and Libraries in June
- Typical schedule by day, week, or month to exemplify planned activities and lessons
- A summary of the year’s collaboration activities with building level teams and individual teachers
- Professional Development needs
- A list of successes and challenges
- A circulation statistics report
