PHD Troubleshooting for Older PHD+ Scanners

Note: These directions are not necessary when using the Dolphin+ Scanners.

1. If the characters “57*>” display on the PHD+:
   • Press and hold down the <6> key until you hear three beeps. Update Menu will appear.
   • If you are updating the PHD+ select Update PHD+. The message “Ready to Update?” will appear and the unit is ready for you to download the PHD application.
   • If you do not wish to make any changes, select No Changes . This returns you to the Main Menu on the PHD+ display.
2. If the characters “68>”, “69>”, “62>”, “65>”, or “66>” display on the PHD+II:
   • Press and hold down the “6” key until “TP_” displays. Type the number “59” and press <Enter. > The following message will display: “Download.y001.2”
   • Hold down the “3” key until you hear three beeps.
   • Choose the appropriate option from the menu
     • Update PHD+. The message “Ready to Update?” appears, indicating the unit is ready for you to download the PHD application.
     • No changes. This will bring you back to the Main Menu on the scanner
3. On the PHD+II, if it really flakes out and won't do anything, hold YES and NO while you press and hold the on/off button for + 10 seconds. You will get “66>” on the display. Proceed as in #2 above.
