The Bellingham School District Board of Directors adopted Nutrition and Physical Fitness policy 3440 on Sept. 1, 2005.

The policy sets approved nutrition standards that families and staff are asked to meet if they wish to distribute food to groups of students during the school day. Food used for fundraising needs to meet these standards if it is sold during the school day or 30 minutes before or after school. Food items may not be sold as a fundraising activity at a time that is in competition with district Food Service mealtimes.

Below is a list of the district's nutrition standards as well as specific foods and vendors that meet these standards.
