| Nominating A Student: Any person ( including a parent, teacher, or student) may nominate a student to the Highly Capable Learners' Program. To make a nomination, complete the HCL Program nomination form. The person making the nomination is responsible for obtaining parent and school signatures on the nomination form. The form cannot be submitted electronically. The completed form, along with a copy of the student's first semester report card, may be submitted to the HCL Office (through the school mail) by the deadlines listed on the testing schedule below.

1. Go to the Bellingham School District web site ( www.bham.wednet.edu ). On the left side of the page, click on "LEARNING & TEACHING".
2. On the right side of the page, click on "Federal/Special Programs".
3. On the right side of the page, click on "Highly Capable Learners' Program" for nomination form.
2008 TESTING SCHEDULE
April 30, 2008:Nomination Forms are due in HCL Office by 5:00 p.m. (1306 Dupont St., Rm. 202)
May 19 - 28, 2008: ITBS Assessment Screening for all nominated students.
September 8 - 12, 2008: CogAT® & SOI testing for students who qualified on the ITBS taken in May 2008.
2009 TESTING SCHEDULE
February 6, 2009:

March 9 - 13, 2009:
ITBS Assessment Screening for all nominated students.
May 4 - 8, 2009:

Testing
Location: Testing takes place in
the Roeder Administration Building located at 1306 Dupont
St. Parents are responsible for transportation.
Supplies
for Testing Day: It is recommended that all students
bring a book to read and a light snack. All testing supplies
(including pencils) are supplied.
