the function of the Title I Program/Learning Assistance
Program (LAP) in accordance with Federal law, State
law, and District policy and procedure

Title I / LAP Program activities with District goals
and initiatives

will include Title I/ LAP/ ELL staff and parent members
from Title I/ LAP and ELL funded programs

Committee shall consist of 18 members:

Title I certificated staff members

Title I/LAP school administrators

Parents of students who participate in Title I/
LAP/ ELL services

Title I / LAP/ ELL Classified staff member

Title I Teacher Leader

Title I Parent Educator

ELL Program Facilitator
- Chairperson:

- Council
members begin a membership rotation by serving one
or two year terms the first year and then two year
terms, thereafter
Responsibilities
- Attendance
at meetings
- Learn
about Federal and State regulations that guide the
Title I, English Language Learner and Learning Assistance
Programs
- Learn
about District policies and goals
- Communicate
the content of the meetings and gather input from
building staff and parents
- Commitment
to be a member for two years
Timeline
- Meet
a minimum of once annually for program review and
input
- Meet
during the school year to review program, provide
input, or make recommendations
