The Deputy Superintendent is responsible for the administration of curriculum and instruction under applicable laws and policies of the Board of Directors. The Deputy Superintendent supervises district directors and special programs, elementary and middle school physical education program, the elementary and middle school music program, and the summer school program.

The role of the Deputy Superintendent is to provide assistance to the Superintendent and provide leadership and support to directors and principals so that students can achieve high levels of success. He supervises, coaches, and evaluates directors. The Deputy Superintendent facilitates and serves on district-wide committees and task groups. He implements policies and directives from the Board of Directors and supports and monitors the District’s strategic plan. His office provides information and communicates with a wide variety of community people. The office is responsible for processing requests for posting and distribution of written materials to students and Class Size/Workload Plans.
