to the Professional Development web page!
This
provides a compilation of professional development opportunities coordinated by Bellingham
Public Schools. It is organized to provide:
- A
range of professional opportunities specific to grade
levels, content areas, and job types.
- A
description of each offering in terms of the Professional
Development Standards.
- Phases
of professional development provide a sequence of
courses that meet the needs of new teachers, teachers
in pursuit of professional certification and the veteran
teacher.
- Specifics
about time, date and location with a contact person
for follow-up information.
Registration
is required for the courses you would like to attend.
Some of the courses listed have limited space or may
be cancelled due to low enrollment; therefore, registration
is necessary to reserve your space. You can register
by using the on-line registration form or by contacting Michele at 360-647-6800 or mifoster@bham.wednet.edu

Clock
hours are offered for any course that is three hours
or more. The clock hour fee structure for courses is
$2 per clock hour plus a $5 processing fee.
At
the first day of the course, clock hour registration
forms will be distributed. It is imperative that participants
sign in on the attendance sheet at each of the sessions.
At
the last session, participants complete the evaluation
form and send it along with the clock hour fee to the
Office of Professional Development. The registration,
evaluation form, and fee must be received within 30
days of the last day of the course in order to avoid
a $10 processing late fee.
