OBJECTIVES

To learn to use the new district math assessment consistently

NEW LEARNING

Teachers learned about the new district Math Assessment MAP: Measures of Academic Progress. All participants received training in how the test works and how it is different from other tests. They also learned how to administer the assessment, how to access and read the reports. Additional information was provided to teachers to learn how to use the information to inform their mathematics instruction. Staff has an opportunity to use the computer lab to try the assessment. ALIGNMENT

Each school will test one 5 th grade class on June 2, 2005 to report any problems to Brian Rick.
MAP testing window will be June 6 th – 10 th .
A handbook with administration protocols and reading the data was given to each participant.
