Curriculum staff supports student achievement by working with teams of teachers and community members to develop an articulated K-12 curriculum aligned with state standards and provide instructional materials that support the curriculum. We work in collaboration with Professional Development and Assessment & Evaluation as the Curriculum Department.

K-8 Learning Targets include information found in District Curriculum Guides, the Elementary and Middle School Literacy Teacher Support Guides and other curriculum support documents. These documents outline the Bellingham School District learning targets for each grade level.

The Curriculum Office is responsible for overseeing the adoption of basic instructional materials and facilitates the Instructional Materials Committee (IMC).
