Squalicum High School request for consideration of supplemental text titled An Inconvenient Truth, The Planetary Emergency of Global Warming and What We Can Do About It, by Al Gore.
Carol explained the Federal Way decision to the group. We will wait until Federal Way’s work on finding a voice for the other side of the issue. The teachers will be told this has been placed on hold until this fall at the latest. The district leadership has recommended a pause on this text for now. We will wait for Federal Way’s work and experience addressing a global warming curriculum.
Squalicum High School request for consideration of Active Chemistry to be used as a supplemental resource. Members will need to fill out the following forms for the next meeting: Form 1040-NB-A and 1040-S. The book is available for check-out in the Curriculum Office. Carol will ask a group of teachers to present to the committee during the February meeting
