MEETING MINUTES

Carol Egan called the meeting to order at 4:10 pm.

Members Present: Linda Chapman, Laura Rink, Dave Adams, Susan Hofstetter, John Mangan, Jean Prochaska, Carol Egan, Ann Reed, Byron Gerard

Squalicum High School request for consideration of supplemental text titled Active Chemistry. Carol shared the teacher reviews Active Chemistry. Reviews from the teachers showed all sections were marked acceptable on the bias form. The Basic Instructional form was also used and all categories were marked excellent. Carol also shared comments from the teachers.
The IMC Committee shared their review remarks: collaboration strengths, assessment piece, connections with real life, learning by doing, layout was easy to navigate and allowed multiple engagement areas on the page, promoted deeper thinking, step by step, good use of color, and organization.
Committee approved the adoption of Active Chemistry by a unanimous vote.
