ensure that the Bellingham School District curriculum
is aligned with state standards, the Curriculum Department
will conduct regular reviews and improvement of each
major curriculum area.
District Curriculum Guides are resources for teachers
when planning their teaching. The Bellingham School
Board has adopted the following K-12 curriculum guides:
Fine Arts (October 1999), Health & Fitness/PE (May
2001), Social Studies (June 2001), Elementary Literacy
Guide (June 2002), Middle School Literacy Guide (June
2003), Mathematics (April 2003), and Science (April
2004). Classrooms throughout the district have been
provided these guides and the guides are available for
review in the Curriculum Office.
