district and state assessments. These text samples should
be used or modified for use in school newsletters or
letters sent to parents beginning the month before the
test administration.

at no cost to students taking the WASL or WLPT state
required test. Please include this information in your
January, February
and March newsletters.

of Academic Progress (MAP) is given in fall, winter, and spring to students in grades 3, 4, 5 and NYAS 8th graders in Math. Please
include this information in your September, January, April, and May
newsletters.
The
Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) is
given in April to students in grades
3, 4 and 5 and grades
6, 7 and 8. Please include this information in your
March newsletter.
The
