* Allow approximately 25
minutes of additional time for administrative details associated
with giving the test.
Considerations for
creating your testing schedule:
•
The tests are to be administered between April 14 and May 2, 2008.
•
Administration days may be consecutive or spaced.
•
All
students within a grade level at a school must take the same
test on the same day.
•
Two
testing sessions must not occur on the same day (except when
necessary for make-up testing).
•
The two sessions of Writing should not be given on consecutive days.
•
Times given are estimates of the amount of time it may take your
students to finish each section of the test. There is no time
limit on any test as long as each test is completed on the
same day it was begun.
•
During each testing session, students may need to take a rest break.
Students should remain in the room during the break, but may
be permitted to leave the room if supervised. Breaks should
last no longer than 10-15 minutes and should not extend over
lunch or recess.
•
For
Writing only, students may complete the transcription and
final editing of their writing tasks after a supervised lunch break. Students should not miss their scheduled lunch.
•
These approximate times are for testing only; therefore, allow
more time (approximately 25 minutes) to pass out materials,
read directions, answer questions, collect materials and perform
any other similar activities.
